48 HOURS IN BUDAPEST

After a 7 hour train journey from Prague, we pulled into the main station in Budapest, eager to get to our hotel. So off we went…

KILLASHEE

I’m a big fan of feeling like you’re a long way from home without having to drive hours to get there. I suppose that’s one of the great things about Dublin, the beach, the city and the country are all on our doorstep, so we’re spoiled for choice when it comes to weekends away. The other Elf’s (that mam and sis) and I all have pretty busy schedules with work, babies and travel so when we realised Killashee was only 45 minutes from home we booked in quick sharp.

WALKING IBIZA

I joined the donation based ‘Short and Sweet’ (there’s tea and homemade cake at the end) two hour long walk from Isla Blanca in the north of the island on an overcast Wednesday morning. I caught up with tour leader Sheila from Walking Ibiza, who is founder Toby’s mother, at the meeting point and she introduced me to some of the other walkers, some new and some regulars. Toby started organising tours after walking the entire coast of the island in 11 days with just €1 relying on generous donations of food and drink from locals and now runs tours around the island and shorter trips on a regular basis.

DAY BED DREAMS – IBIZA DAY 8

A day bed is the ultimate in beachside indulgence. They’re 100% totally unnecessary and I’ve had some of my best sunny snoozes lying on a beach towel in the sand, but sometimes you just need to throw money at a situation for all out luxury.

IBIZA BY AIR

Wow, there’s something magical about watching this footage of Ibiza by air by videographer Michael Vanarey. He manages to show us a totally different perspective to the white isle.

Have a look at this montage of aerial footage Michael filmed on our press trip with Essential Ibiza in May 2016 and some of the stunning locations they brought us too.

I spy Surf Lounge, Hostal la Torre, Babylon Beach Bar, Tropicana Beach Club, Atzaro Hotel and a vineyard near Pikes Hotel.

We used the Kaiser Baas Delta Drone with GoPro gimbal from Harvey Norman in Ireland to capture these images, enjoy!

SUNDAY FUN DAY – IBIZA DAY 7

For Sunday fun day, we decided to potter on down to Sluiz which is a really cool interiors and clothing shop on the outskirts of Santa Gertrudis. The real draw for me though, was their outdoor space with cute little food stalls and bar out the back on the Sunday we went.

RIDING THE WAVE IN IBIZA – DAY 6

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I came to Ibiza with the intention of trying to keep up some sort of fitness regime, or even just going to the odd yoga…
