Yoga and Hiking in the French Alps

Me and my notions decided to pack up and head off to the French Alps for a bit of R&R, or yoga and hiking actually, last week and I can safely say it’s the first time I’ve come back from a trip feeling better than when I left. I’d already been on a multi activity yoga trip with Yoganic Moves (well, if watching the crew sail the 99ft gullet yacht is classed as an activity) in Turkey earlier this year so when instructor Annick invited me to go yoga and hiking in the French Alps, it was a no brainer. You know the usual saying, “you’d need another holiday to get over it”? Well I got a bit sick of feeling worse-off after a supposed “break”, so I decided a bit of fresh air, outdoor activities and healthy eating were exactly what I needed.

The lovely people at Lidl played host to our gang of about 25 and I was lucky enough to stay in the Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux, a gorgeous five star hotel in a seriously fancy 18th-century building right in the city centre
