SKIN TRAVEL TIPS

I’m pretty low maintenance when it comes to my skin care routine. But from a former beauty editor, trust me it’s not about how much you’re spending on products or how many you can slather on your face. I believe that less is more when it comes to beauty, especially when you’ve got luggage restrictions to think about (more on packing here). There are some things I’ll never skip though. So; tried and tested, here are my skin travel tips.

The last thing I need to do before a trip is spend a fortune on beauty bits, so Penneys is usually my one stop shop to pick up all my holiday essentials. I’ll get to the skin care soon, but let’s take a minute to appreciate all the travel size basics from next to nothing. Handy little containers of cotton buds for 50c, tiny handbag size packets of wipes , travel toothbrushes and sets of mini essentials, I can get pretty much everything I need in Penneys before jetting off.

A dream if you spend any amount of time living out of your luggage. Plus, I couldn’t resist the rose gold nail scissors and tweezers, super sharp!

My hero products over the last couple of months that’ve saved my skin on ten flights in six weeks, have been these PS…Love sheet masks and eye patches… which I’ve scared a few sleepy passengers on board with. I really couldn’t care less about looking silly if it means I’ll arrive refreshed. And this P.S…Love to Glow serum which I’ve used day and night, as a mask and on sensitive sunburned skin. Vitamin E is brilliant for staying hydrated.

At home I use muslin cloths, but they’re completely impractical for bringing away – I definitely don’t want to pack anything damp! I use it in little circle movements with my normal cleanser after removing the majority of heavy make up with a wipe first. Or just on its own wet if I haven’t been wearing any make up, it feels like a very gentle exfoliator on my skin and dries instantly.
