While I may have earned myself the nickname ‘Rebel Yogi’ on my notionzy yoga sailing trip in Turkey last month, I guess it’s sounds healthier than just ‘rebel’, right? I drink alcohol, I eat meat and sugar, I miss a class here and there…and WHAT? I started yoga earlier this year in an attempt to find some kind of activity that didn’t make me want to claw my eyes out like how I feel entering a conventional gym. Something I could keep up for life, that I could do any time, anywhere.
I try to wear less make up (and clothes, admittedly) on holidays plus I’m always conscious of baggage allowance, but I’m a sucker for limited edition summer packaging so this lot made it into my holiday make up bag on my recent trip to Turkey. What are your summer sun make up must haves? Packing for a week on a boat, do I travel light and go with the bare minimum or max the baggage allowance? Some clear packing cubes, wet bag, swim shoes (big up Lidl!) and shades, my Penneys haul, new GoPro Hero 4, plus a shit load of SPF (my guide to high factor products here) and yoga clothes and I’m nearly done. Next stop: Yogacruising Ahoi, twice a day yoga on a gorgeous wooden gulet yacht, hiking and swimming, healthy eating, reading and soaking up the sun in Turkey…I can’t bloody wait.
Last week I popped along to the launch of the Vintage Tea Party in the Beacon Hotel. Bubbles, make up, afternoon tea, cocktails and dinner …so yeah, basically a few variations of food and drink with some girly fun thrown in for good measure – the makings of a bloody good night away.
