IBIZA BY AIR

Wow, there’s something magical about watching this footage of Ibiza by air by videographer Michael Vanarey. He manages to show us a totally different perspective to the white isle.

Have a look at this montage of aerial footage Michael filmed on our press trip with Essential Ibiza in May 2016 and some of the stunning locations they brought us too.

I spy Surf Lounge, Hostal la Torre, Babylon Beach Bar, Tropicana Beach Club, Atzaro Hotel and a vineyard near Pikes Hotel.

We used the Kaiser Baas Delta Drone with GoPro gimbal from Harvey Norman in Ireland to capture these images, enjoy!

SUNDAY FUN DAY – IBIZA DAY 7

For Sunday fun day, we decided to potter on down to Sluiz which is a really cool interiors and clothing shop on the outskirts of Santa Gertrudis. The real draw for me though, was their outdoor space with cute little food stalls and bar out the back on the Sunday we went.

SUMMER WARDROBE

I get massive wardrobe envy everywhere I travel, but especially in Ibiza when the style rating is off the charts. I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’m just not the kind of person who will ever be “fashionable”, so I’m focusing more on style and staples to make dressing and more importantly for me, packing easier. I’ve created a bit of a capsule summer wardrobe that allows me to mix and match and look as pulled together as possible with minimal effort.

CLUB TROPICANA AND TROPICANA BEACH – DAY 5

Right, let’s just talk about Ibiza Rocks House at Pikes Hotel for a second. It’s where the infamous Wham! Club Tropicana music video was filmed at the pool and the walls are adorned with pictures of famous faces who’ve stayed there.

Arriving, it might seem underwhelming, but just give it a minute. Checking in was enough to convince me of the rock n roll ways of this long lived establishment. Apparently the venue fell out of fashion for a few years, but with the Ibiza Rocks brand taking hold they’re well and truly back on the scene.

SUNSET SKY – IBIZA DAY FOUR

I don’t know how I’ve made it this far in Ibiza without having a little splash about. Well actually, the jellyfish hampered our efforts when we went over to Formentera and any other chance we’ve had I’ve chosen to hit up the wifi instead and get some work done, freelance life yo! Trust me, I’m not complaining.

But you simply cannot come to Ibiza and not go for a swim, so we got up early and did a no-phone power hour of jumping in the pool and a lazy breakfast with no technology. Bliss.

FORMENTERA BY BOAT – IBIZA DAY TWO

Day two and time to get back on the water, asap rocky. If you’ve been following my travels, you’ll know I’m partial to the odd sailing trip, fond of a yacht and lover of all things nauti.

BACK TO THE ISLAND

It’s been a while, but the magnetic pull is too strong to resist anymore…I’ve made my way back to the island. If you’ve even been to Ibiza, you’ll know what I’m talking about and if not, then do yourself a favour and get involved.
