Sunday means one thing in Ibiza, eat, fun, drink, repeat. We decided to potter on down to Sluiz, which is a really cool interiors and clothing shop on the outskirts of Santa Gertrudis, for a little mooch around. The real draw for me though, was their outdoor space with cute little food stalls and bar out the back celebrating the Ibiza Food Factory on the Sunday we went.
I wanted to try my first acaí bowl from Amazonia Organic Acaí after seeing their pics on Essential Ibiza’s Instagram page, so I quickly scouted out their stall. I’m still finding it hard to believe something so healthy can taste like dessert basically. They gave us some tips on how to make our own back in the apartment where the girls have the freezer stocked with plenty of acaí packets.
I found a place selling small Indian bites and went for the butter chicken with pomegranate, yoghurt and coriander with freshly baked flat bread and a cold beer before continuing to browse the fashion and homewares.
That evening we head back over to Pikes for a special screening of new movie White Island and played spot the celeb in the crowd. Dean Gaffney and Tamer Hussan were unsurprisingly my top spots of the night, because Wellard and The Business, obvs.
We made the most of the free champers, grabbed some popcorn and settled down for the film. Pikes had transformed the tennis court into an outdoor cinema via Cinema Paradiso. It started off pretty funny and I loved the soundtrack, but didn’t have the patience to sit still for that long so I snuck off to the bar towards the end.
Essential Ibiza stuck around though and have a full review of the screening over on their site, read it here.
