It was a sad day when the only direct route from Ireland was done away with a few years back and while there are other options now, everyone is pretty pleased to see our national carrier heading back west.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”2683″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Non-stop to Los Angeles in around eleven hours PLUS you’ll clear US Immigration and Customs here in Dublin airport, meaning you’ll land as a local (remember to leave extra time before your flight!). If you’re ever travelled into LAX you’ll understand how much of a massive bonus that it, I’ve stood in their immigration queue for hours on end and it’s so not ideal after a long-haul flight. In fact, now it could even be more cost and time effective for UK passengers to re-route through Dublin direct to LA for that reason![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”2682″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]My love affair with LA is no secret and while the lack of a direct flight didn’t stop me going, I can see a lot more trips in the pipeline now it’ll be so much easier when the Dublin direct to LA flights return on 4th May.
I attended the official launch this morning in The Marker Hotel in Dublin where Aer Lingus flew in Venice Beach dance crew the Calypso Tumblers for a live performance. They also put on a show in the city centre, you can watch it here…[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=”https://vimeo.com/164410767″][vc_column_text]For flight info from Dublin direct to LA see aerlingus.com[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
